Over the past few months I’ve been working hard behind the scenes putting together the Innovation Drum & Bass Anthems compilation album!
You may have seen a few cryptic posts on my social media pages of me going for meetings, sitting in recording studios, or signing contracts? Trust me it’s been hard not telling everyone about this but it’s been well worth it. This album has been a long time in the making, I got to big up Danny Donnelly (the guy behind the legendary Suburban Base Records) for linking me with New State Music, the label releasing this compilation. My career in music has seen me cover all aspects of this scene, working in record shops, running labels, producing music, promoting events, record distribution, even giving out flyers after events, (and of course DJing), it was interesting for me to finally get an insight into the A&R, licensing and studio side of things on this sort of project, even down to editing the script for the TV advert voiced by Harry Shotta.
The album is out now on various formats & features all your favourite drum and bass acts including Wilkinson, Subfocus, Chase & Status, Friction, Majistrate, S.P.Y, Danny Byrd, Guv, Serum, Voltage, High Contrast to name a few… There’s also an exclusive track by me on there!!!
