A brand new single has just been released on my Direct Recordings label.

Following on from the success Stickbubbly‘s last release for the label, I’ve drafted the Canadian sound killer back on board with 2 dance floor friendly slices of drum & bass which are sure to get the club jumping!

A couple of weeks back I released a single on Direct Recordings by one of my favorite artists Sudden Def, along with his friend and production partner Nuera.

Sudden Def has been busy the past couple of years with solo releases on J Majiks Infrared imprint, his collaboration work with Wickaman as one half of ‘Rewind!’ which saw him release music on premier imprints such as Playaz, Ram Records sister label Frequency, Titan

I’ve been playing the tracks in my sets for the past few months and, since release, both tracks from the single have topped the charts on both Trackitdown & Breakbeat.co.uk.

After a long wait I’m pleased to announce that my new release is finally available for you to download.

I’ve been a bit quite on the production front for the past few years, mainly due to my role at Inno keeping me busy, the only time I do find to get in the studio is to record the Innovation Podcasts. From now on I promise I’ll be sitting down to make tunes a bit more regularly!

These tracks ‘Chinook / Shakedown’ have been going down really well everywhere I’ve been playing them. I also received positive feedback from the likes of DJ Phantasy, Grooverider, Kenny Ken & Mind Vortex.

High Rollers EP – Direct Recordings

Jev makes a long overdue return to the Direct Recordings camp with the labels first 3 track extended player, the High Rollers EP.

The tracks on this EP are a combination of classic techstep, lush vocals rounded off with melodic liquid tones which have already found favour with the guys at Trackitdown.net, being featured as one of their recommended D&B tracks this week.

As a protégé of DJ / producer Special K back in the day, Jev cemented his roots in drum and bass on the front line, working behind the counter in a South London record shop. For the past few years he’s been locked down in the studio building up a collection of beats, this EP is just the first wave of what’s to come!

A new release came out today on my Direct Recordings label featuring a huge remix from Majistrate

After storming all the drum and bass charts recently with the huge ‘Losing Control’ on Playaz, Majistrate now turns his hand to remixing one of Direct Recordings biggest releases ‘Path’ by Stickbubbly. The original version of this track has been a favorite with DJ’s & ravers alike, as you’d expect from Majistrate, this remix is aimed directly at the clubs.

‘Fear’ is a monster of a tune which has been gaining support on the dancefloors of raves such as Innovation, Warning & Random Concept. Guaranteed to get your speakers rattling & any party jumping!
